Akor ready to seize Super Eagles chance – Utaka

Montpellier forward Jerome Akor has what it takes to shine for the Super Eagles when the opportunity arises, according to former Nigerian international John Utaka.

"Akor is a potential Super Eagles striker," Utaka stated in a recent interview. "He’s a hard worker, possesses an ideal physique for a striker, and has an excellent mindset. I am confident he will seize his chance when he gets called up to the national team."

Utaka further revealed that the 24 year old striker, who recently recovered from an injury that sidelined him for two matches, has rejoined the Montpellier squad.

"He’s back in the team now," Utaka confirmed, expressing optimism about Akor’s return to form.

The young forward has also credited Utaka, a former Montpellier great, for aiding his smooth transition to French football after his move from Norwegian club Lillestrom last year.
