The Nigeria Football Federation NFF has officially invited David Stockbrink, an 18 year old forward from Fortuna Sittard, to join the Flying Eagles squad ahead of the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON qualifiers in Côte d’Ivoire.
Born in Germany to a Nigerian mother from Delta State, Stockbrink has expressed his strong desire to represent Nigeria at the international level. He previously played for clubs like FC Mongdablach Germany, Warta Poznań Poland, and Excellent FC Ughelli Nigeria before joining Fortuna Sittard in the Dutch Eredivisie U19 league during the January transfer window.
The winger caught the attention of the Flying Eagles scouting team after his outstanding performance in the 2024 Federation Cup while playing for Excellent FC. His versatility, dribbling skills, and goal-scoring ability make him a valuable addition to Coach Aliyu Zubairu’s squad.
